Yvonne and I went to the Puyallup Fair yesterday for the most part to see the Beatles tribute band, Imagine. Imagine is one of many Beatles tribute bands, musically playing the exact same period instruments without extra production. We saw the early Beatles show, they also do a Sgt. Peppers era show. They are playing the Puyallup fair for another five days I think. We were able to talk to the lads before and after the show. ("Paul" and "George" with me in photo). Well worth the entrance fee for their one hour show.
After trying to enjoy the last few days of what has been 4+ months of sick leave and vacation I am returning to work Monday Sept. 20. I want to get back into the action even when we are facing some tough budget issues including demotions and lay offs. I wish a good weekend to everyone, this boy will enjoy my last weekend of freedom. The attached video is a live performance of "This Boy" as they performed it on a British variety show in 1963.
Welcome to my Blog
I chose the title of this blog to go with a Beatles song from 1969. The title made sense in October of 2009 because fighting cancer might be a drawn out challenge. I take inspiration where I can, and hope to motivate with my musings about music, my status and anything else related to life. looking forward to the visit,

Greg, glad to see you guys went to the fair. Not too bad for a band that travels in a beat up R. V. Hope to see you later this month. Love Dad and Alice
Greggers, so how was your first day back at work? Hopefully it wasn't too overwhelming and you have enough energy/enthusiasm to return!! Hope it went smoothly! I do know that EVERYONE missed your absence!!! Keep on keepin' on! KKW
Oops! Meant missed you while you were absent!!! Sheesh, I must be getting old!! :) KKW
Greg and Yvonne,
It was great to see you guys and hang out with you. Thanks so much for coming down. Hope Greg wasn't too tired after going back. You both (and Sadie) look like you are doing very well. Yes, how was the first day back? I was thinking of you. I hope it was good and not too tiring. It feels like the NW here today, cloudy and rainy and foggy but we are very happy to get the rain. Sounds like the sun comes out tomorrow. And it's Friday! Hope to see you guys again soon.
love,
Mary D.
KKW, Mary- My first day was fine, and the rest of the week went well too. I am slowly but surely returning to normal, if there is such a thing for me. We have fall like weather for the foreseeable future, and a La Nina is scheduled to hit us this winter meaning more rain/snow and cooler temps. I might get a visit from Dad this weekend too. I hope everyone has a good weekend.
Greg
It's good to see your signature on documents again! :-)
Greg, glad to see things are going well. Everyone has to return to their job eventually.
