Most people (in 1968) thought Rocky Raccoon was Paul writing a country and western tune about the wild west and some of the typical stereotypes. Paul was actually spoofing folk songs of the time. What the song really means only Paul knows. It is a sad song about a love triangle, Rocky might even die at the end. The attached homemade video is really well done, I tip my cap to the video producers.

It's been a long week with a lot of news. On Tuesday I had en early morning Dr. Senecal Appointment. He called Thursday night and confirmed I indeed did break my pubic raymus (pelvic bone in the front) then the really bad news- the MRI found cancer in the front of the femur, and in other areas around the knee and leg. Dr. Senecal hit me with being close to the end, and radiation or chemo are my only options. So, radiation started the next day. My Friday radiation was a good time, knowing it might be the only tool left to stop the proverbial bleeding. I will go in M-Th next week for the remaining treatments, and then do some chemo based on what happens with radiation. Back to hospice...
My Doctor and many in the medical community tell me the cancer is progressing fast, changing and morphing to the point where there are not any treatments left. Like Rocky Raccoon, I am in the corner with a few band-aids but gosh darn it I AM NOT QUITTING! I am stopping the bleeding and as hopeful as a man can be. I do believe in miracles.

My dad, Alice Yvonne, Mikhael and I went to the Muckleshoot casino earlier today, we all made a little money and we ran into good friend Cam who just happened to be in the area! I would call that a good omen at the very least.
Greg, I pray for you and your family every single day. You are tough; do not let the spirit of fear take over your kind and positive thoughts. Please believe in miracles; God is ever present. I am hoping to meet up with you and Yvonne when you're feeling up to it. Miss you....
This news is so very difficult. Winning at the casino (must have been because you had Mikhael with you?!!) and running into a friend are sure signs of good luck. Keep it rolling. Went to church tonight and prayed hard, sang loud. All for you.

I appreciate the motivation frm everyone! Carol, I highlighted Jake on a post a while back. He is here in Tacoma and Portland next Friday and Saturday and both shows are sold out! Dang it. Anyway, I watched the Pats take out Tebow, now some more fun in the snow. Looking forward to some radiation and whatever else I can do as we move into another week. I will post some pics too as we had a personal delivery of cash for our big climb team. GDLH

In 1960 my mother in-law had a brain tumor the size of a golf ball. Medical technology at the time..... well it wasn't what it is today and the best they could do was to cut stuff out.
The tumor was growing, Doctors gave her a 30% chance of surviving surgery and a zero chance wihtout.
She'll be 86 years old this year... 40 years past any reasonable projection after beating the 30% odds.
Greg, miracles do happen. Every year on her birthday, we discuss this one.
There is no explanation, no reasoning, no understanding, it simply is.
God blesses good people, and you're certainly one of those. Fight the fight, our prayers are with you always.

Capt Ron's comments gave me goosebumps. I also believe. While you fight the physical and mental fight there is a treatment out there with your name on it.
Also, we loved watching Tebow take a knee to the Pats :) Next game will be a tough one. Great pics -you look good & comfortable, it is always nice to have family & friends around. Michelle will be so happy to see you relaxing with your Patriots blanket. Thinking about you - Kevin, Edie & Michelle
Wow Ron, I never knew. Good news abounds today. I am feeling much better, radiation is working. Thank you to everyone for the thoughts and prayers, as usual they made a difference. I will be in the St. Francis (Federal Way) infusion center next M-Th for an almost full day of chemo each day. Give me a call or pay a visit if you are in the south end. I am feeling very good about getting back to remission.

Carol, she was an American Idol contestant/favorite. I did hear her and thoght she should've won.
