What if there isn't "anymore"?
One day a woman's husband died, and on that clear, cold morning, in the warmth of their bedroom, the wife was struck with the pain of learning that sometimes there isn't "anymore".
No more hugs, no more special moments to celebrate together, no more phone calls just to chat, no more "just one minute." Sometimes, what we care about the most gets all used up and goes away, never to return before we can say good-bye, say "I love you."
So while we have it, it's best we love it, care for it, fix it when it's broken and heal it when it's sick.
This is true for marriage.....And old cars... And children with bad report cards, and dogs with bad hips, and aging parents and grandparents. We keep them because they are worth it, because we are worth it.
Some things we keep -- like a best friend who moved away or a sister-in-law after divorce. There are just some things that make us happy, no matter what.
Life is important, like people we know who are special. And so, we keep them close!

I received this from someone who thought I was a 'keeper'! Then I put the whole message on my blog to reach as many people as possible. Let every one of your friends know you love them. Even if you think they don't love you back. And just in case I'm gone tomorrow:
I LOVE YA!!!
I LOVE YA!!!
Live today because tomorrow is not promised.

Greg, what a great group !Hope your test is fine, see you guys next week We love you too ! Dad and Alioe
Love your blog today. You are right for sure! My blog has been taken over by people trying to sell thier wares. Very frustrating, because these people aren't my friends or family. We ent from three to nine here, as Les's cousin and his family plus Alicia and Sean are coming, and I thought I was having a laid back quiet day! I'll make Les help me :)
Love the picture, too, btw! Yeah that song made me think about Les's cousin and his wife and kids that are coming over Thanksgiving. His Mom and brother and sister rarely get together, I quess they don't get along. They all live in Oregon, too. Very sad. Nothing's wotth it, nothing.

Cathy, it sounds like you will be busy. If you still have the dachshunds, put them to work to keep everyone in control! Keep us in your prayers as we try to drive to Utah next week. (I refuse to buy studded snow tires)
Greg
The wieners will be here with Alicia and Sean, they take them every where they go. I hope you have chains, safe travels!
Love, Cathy
Sadie looks like she's enjoying being out there, good for her!
:-) and prayers

Greg, Yvonne, bring something warm with you. Looks like it should clear up before you leave Logan. Love Dad and Alice
Hey all! I forgot to mention that my 6 month bone marrow aspiration results came in Thursday with no cancer blasts in the mix. So I am still in remission. There is always some down with the up though- now I have a cough/cold and a fever. I hope to break it today, I am pretty sure it is viral so anti-biotics won't help. :) Greg
I'm glad you are in reemission, great news! I hope your bug passes quickly.it's that time of the year!
Love, Cathy
I am doing a lot better, cold is almost gone. Can you believe we get snow this early? Andrew is snowboarding at Crystal Mtn. this morning.
Wow you got snow, Sadies having fun!
Oh Greggers, you are SUCH an INSPIRATION to all of us earthlings!!! Your blog is wonderful, very appropriate, loving, open, sensitive and honest... such a breath of "fresh air"!!! Haven't reviewed your writings in over a week (you've been somewhat "absent" these past few weeks!), but am ALWAYS so delightfully astonished by your thoughts/feelings!!! Wish we could "clone" you many times over!!! YOU and Yvonne are DEFINITELY NEEDED in our community---beyond words! Halleleuah that so far you are still cancer free!!! Let's keep it up! Along, of course, with everything else!!!
P.S. There are over 12 inches of new really fluffy snow here (temps below zero at the moment!!!), but it's FINE for driving since we DON'T have so many idiot drivers here in Okanogan County!! Haha! Keep on keepin' on! Hugs to you both!

Happy Thanksgiving! I am thankful for all of the comments and support received on the blog/comments page. I am also thankful (in no particular order) for God's healing powers, Yvonne and my family, my dog, a "White Thanksgiving," my Donor, my friends, my Country, and last but not least my caring health care providers from St. Joseph's Hospital and Seattle Cancer Care Alliance. Love, Greg
Happy Thanksgiving!

It's been a weird holiday tins hear. People coming then not, now we are down to five, as Warren is sick and so is Les's cousin. Some tongs are just not meant to be, I guess. At least Alicia, Sean and the weenies, and Ryan of course!
Lord Bless and Keep You and Yours this Holiday Season
Thanks Hank, I hope all of your prayers are answered. You deserve the best this Christmas season.
Greg
Greg,
Sorry you guys didn't make it down to Logan but I was worried, I know that drive can be REALLY frightening with bad weather. Hope you still had a nice Thanksgiving. I had a very quiet one here.
That is fabulous news about your latest cancer test!! I am so happy for you. I hope you continue to get stronger and better. Do you still have snow? We got almost a foot yesterday. Very wintery here now.
Keep the faith! Always thinking of you guys!
love,
Mary D.
