Roxette, a 80's pop group covered one of my favorite Beatles songs in 1995. Roxette is two singers from Sweden who made it big in the eltropop formula during the 1980's. Dance halls were still popular, their big hits were; "Listen to Your Heart, The Look, It must have been love." They were long time MTV regulars. I chose to show a covered version of Help since I used this title once before a few days after my January 1, 2011 relapse. Another relapse is in the process of occurring right now. (I will not so affectionately call it 3) I knew I was probably relapsing deep down a few days ago as my pain and weakness increased exponentially. We saw Dr. Senecal Tuesday November 29 and got some tests scheduled for early and mid December. As usual, my situation changed for the worse these past few days, no sleep, constant pain, etc. I was able to get the PET scan rescheduled and even got some preliminary results last night. I also moved the bone marrow biopsy up to Tuesday Dec. 6th. The PET did show that I have 12 active lymph nodes growing in a bad way. The bone marrow biopsy will show if the marrow or spinal fluid is under attack too. I was asked which particular chemo regimen I would prefer to fight back and chose Nelarabine. This relapse looks like relapse 2 so far, the lymphoma (tumors) instead of the leukemia (blood). as my cousin said so well in his crazy video- "Here we go again!"
Sam and Natalie- we missed you and your backs when we went up to the mountains yesterday to cut our two Christmas trees down. We only got stuck once, and after a little shoveling and tree branch placement we got out and made it down the snow covered logging road. Thankfully Mikhael was with us and did most of the work. Sadie had as much fun as a Lab can have smelling all of those woodsy sniffs.
"Help me if you can, I'm feeling down
And I do appreciate you being round.
Help me, get my feet back on the ground,
Won't you please, please help me, help me, help me, oh."

Prayers, Prayers, and more Prayers
The images that I "share" come from an aunt-in-law on my deceased wife's Barbara's sides who is a very good person. Most of the images have links where there are hundres more of themn if you want to look when you have "nothing else to do" :-)
Prayers coming from here!
Love your Sister, Cathy
Praying and wishing upon a star as you go into another round of treatment. Pray that you are going to fight and beat this once more!! Keep your spirit in a positive place and know that you are loved!! Fight for those who love you with all your heart and soul!!! :-) Trust in love!!
Thank you Alice, Cathy, Hank, and Dad. As you might expect I can't wait to get the party started!
My first reaction was a bunch of swear words which I won't write here. Next reaction is feeling like my insides just dropped out. Though I just read this today maybe I felt it from afar yesterday after breaking down in tears at work. Greg, I am so sorry to hear this. It sucks. But you are a prize-fighting, comeback kid. You have conquered so much and you will overcome this, too. Maybe it's time to watch Sly Stallone in "Rocky." You have so many people in your corner. We are all sending powerful good vibes and prayers your way.
Much love,
Mary D.
So I guess we all come to the realization at some point that many things that happen to us are not our choice. How we choose to react to them, however is. I'll bet that is why we all want to join with you, however we can, in your fight; Because you accept the challenge and get to work to come out on top. You fight+ we'll cheer=winning team. LiveSTRONG, my friend.
Mary, sometimes my in for a penny in for a pound way of explaining things is a little much. I don't want to make you upset for sure. I know you are always there for me AND I know you will add something to help motivate me. This Leukemia/Lymphoma really sucks, but is made tolerable by your honesty and emotion. Alan doesn't know how lucky he is. Our Christmas trees are up, and we will post some pictures once Yvonne is done decorating.
X, I'd give you a hug if I knew who you were. There are a lot of guesses out there, so far no way to prove any of them. I contacted the guy from wiki leaks, he said national security had to be the focus or he wasn't in.
You have such a great support system of love, hope, and energy sent from people who obviously love you so much and admire the man that you are. I can't wait to meet you Greg Dymerski! Hoping this treatment will alleviate your discomfort and you will be able to enjoy this beautiful time of the year. My personal favorite season :). Please tell Yvonne and your children that the ECC is sending our love, support & prayers to them also. Edie
Thanks Edie- still my hero. Not everyone understands what sacrifices you made to donate your bone marrow to me. On top of that you and your extended family have made me feel like an original east coast crew member. I will be fighting hard and keeping everyone up to date as this week progresses.
Greg - I am so sorry to hear this news, but I am SO proud of your tenacity. I think your willingness to express what you're going through is so amazing for those of us who love and care for you; it allows us to follow your journey, and give you support. hugs and much ALOHA, Valerie
Ah, the sweet tropical smells are wafting in to my home this morning. Thanks Val for helping me decide on some pancakes with coconut syrup! If only I could be seated at a spot to view the lovely sunrise in Hawaii.
Is it raining anywhere? It seems to be pouring at my house, our furnace just quit and it's going to be in the 20's tonight. Thank God for our back up gas fireplace LOL
So sorry to hear the old C has paid a visit again Greg. Since we also fight it in our household, I have a small sense of what you, Yvonne and the famiy are going through, yet again. Know you are in my prayers and thoughts. Just keep fighting!!
Shit.
Using dignified terminology doesn't work.
I am so sorry.
I know that goodwill, love and positive thoughts are flooding in your direction right now Greg.
Looking forward to our next lunch.
Carol
Greg and Yvonne:
I am so sorry to hear of this latest set back. Please know that our prayers are with you everyday and I just know that you are going to get through this. You see, Edie and I talk all the time about your visit and we cannot wait to meet the both of you. If there is anything we can do from the EC, please let us know. I will put your complete recovery on my list to Santa. Stay strong and fight like hell.
Mary-Beth
Nice to hear from you Karen, Mary-Beth and yes Carol you can quote me as uttering SHIT and many more expletives a time or two. I had a bone marrow biopsy today that was an interesting experience. I got to experience the new Gig Harbor St. Anthony's hospital, very nice place with great staff. After the biopsy We made it to a restaurant for breakfast, I was very hungry having to skip anything by mouth since the night before. I ordered pancakes, eggs and sausage, mmm. While the coffee was being poured I had a strange feeling; like I sat on a chair where someone had spilled a glass of water. Unfortunately it was my blood. Argh!! Back to the hospital for a fix that took 30 minutes to stem the bleeding. I was more mad that I missed my breakfast than bleeding out! We're damning the torpedoes tomorrow with Nelarabine chemo until we get bone marrow results (a few days.) Thanks for the support once again!
Sorry to hear about additional challenges. Another "shit" from here. Looks like I may need to shave the extra large BigA dome again in your honor. See you soon. A
Sending positive thoughts to you and your family. Peace, Chris P
