October 19, 2009. This weekend is entitled, "I want to tell you." George Harrison was in shadows much of the Beatles career, he wrote a song in 1966 to explain his difficulties in expressing in words what was in his head. Me too. I walked two times, 2 miles on Saturday and 2.4 on Sunday. I also felt lifeless and looked ashen to green to some color at times. Yvonne spurred me on to try to do more than walk and sit. I go in for a single chemo session today, and to learn more about my long term plan. Happy Monday!
Welcome to my Blog
I chose the title of this blog to go with a Beatles song from 1969. The title made sense in October of 2009 because fighting cancer might be a drawn out challenge. I take inspiration where I can, and hope to motivate with my musings about music, my status and anything else related to life. Anyone can post comments; no sign in or account is needed, just click on the comments section towards the bottom of the post and write me a note. A splendid time is guaranteed for all. Live Happy- Greg

That's terrifc Greg! That's a lot more activity and exercise than I got sitting on my tail watching football and eating all weekend. If you need me to come up there and run you around the tennis court let me know. Kick Ass! May God bless you and heal you during this time. Love Geoff, Emily & Samuel
BTW use geoffrey@pohlrealestate.com for all future e-mail correspondence...I think you might have an old hotmail one that I haven't used for years.
I am at lunch right now and I am happy to read about your progress!! You are an inspiration, I should go outside and walk too!!! Hope your session today went well and the doctor have some good news for you and a strong plan as well!!!!!! Take care and stay strong, physically and mentally. :-)
Geoff, Emily, Samuel- thanks for the sup[port! We will fix our e mail contacts ASAP. Keep that fine young family special!
Love, Greg
you are doing a great job with your walking. We will be building mileage before you know it.Greg you really are a go getter. Thanks for pushing me to the pool this morning. I really appreciate it. Love ya
We are glad we can hear the day to day details. Love the Beatles tie in. I think it is helpful to share the good, the bad and the ugly. So glad to hear you are walking. Keep up the great work. I read that exercise is one of the best things you can do for this. We are thinking of you all the time and every time we go for a run, you are with us. Like yesterday... It was sunny and 70 here and Alan and I went for a long run. High plains, clouds sifting through the sky; black cattle parting to let us through; could see Harney Peak/Black Hills from the ridge we were on, a single hawk floating in the sky; tall, dry grass; deer on a pine ridge. You will come and run with us here, too!
Keep the faith.
lots of love,
Mary and Alan
You have a great attitude! You are so creative, too. I heard this quote toady and thought of you "In trails you find out more about yourself than any other time"
Love, Cathy
Cathy, Les, Mary, Alan, etc:
Stay tuned for tomorrow, I got some news today from the Doctor that was mixed at best. Thanks for the posts! I can't wait to see the deer and lovely pine forests of Nebraska. Forests in Nebraska- wow. I am thinging of a song... "Across the Universe" comes to mind. So does Neil and "Come's a Time"
Greg
This Blog just became a joint venture of the Beatles and Neil Young inspiration. I know Neil respected and learned from the Beatles due to many of his writings and the fact that he played a great cover of "A day in the Life" in his most recent world tour that I got to see!

Hey Greg,
Wanted to join in with the others here and wish you the best. I am not sure what to say about the news other than keep the faith and know we are all with you as you travel this path.
You are a fighter and are an inspiration to get out and see the gifts in front of me that I too often take for granted.
We are in the middle of hunting season over here in Okanogan and our quiet road has turned into a freeway. I think it is cute that the local deer have found a ridge on our place to hide behind.. I check up there at the end of the day and they are hanging back there making themselves small. The crowds will soon return to wherever they came from and we will get back to our quiet little place.
I am thinking of you and am going for a walk at lunch!!
Linda
