Welcome to my Blog

I chose the title of this blog to go with a Beatles song from 1969. The title made sense in October of 2009 because fighting cancer might be a drawn out challenge. I take inspiration where I can, and hope to motivate with my musings about music, my status and anything else related to life. Anyone can post comments; no sign in or account is needed, just click on the comments section towards the bottom of the post and write me a note. A splendid time is guaranteed for all. Live Happy- Greg

"Yes it is"

It is Christmas Eve, and therefore my best wishes go out to everyone for a stress free peaceful day. "Yes it is" was a b side of the Ticket to Ride single from 1965, it was included on an American album Beatles VI and later best of albums. I am also hoping that today is the day I get a good blood test. I have been struggling with inordinately low white, red, and platelets numbers for about a week now. I ended up spending all day in the hospital this past Tuesday for transfusions of blood and platelets. Now I am trying to get better to be able to visit family at the Oregon Coast this weekend. Today's test will be the deciding one...MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Your are in my thoughts today. I love you and wish we could all be together. I am so glad I went to Hawaii with you and Yvonne. I just knew in my heart at the time that it was important.
when you are through with chemo we should have a party. You so much deserve that. I pray for your body to keep fighting the cancer and go into remission. With love, Cathy

Merry Christmas! I hope Santa brings you a decent blood test, and you get to enjoy some time at the beach! There's something about the Oregon coast that reminds me of good family times past. Let's look forward to the New Year and a fresh start! Take care!

Hi Greg,
We have been on the road from home since Mon. and I have been away from internet since last Fri. I have missed checking in. So sorry to hear the blood has been low. But we're coming up to visit tomorrow and spend Christmas day with you if that's okay. Maybe we should watch a whole bunch of funny movies! I hear that laughter makes us heal. May the magic and miracle of Christmas eve come to your house. Wish terribly that you were all here with us but the Christmas spirits fly through the cold foggy night to keep us all together.
See you in the morn! love, Mary

Blessings to you and your family for a wonderful Christmas Day. My prayers are for your continued well-being. God revealed Himself to His people as Jehovah-Rapha (The Lord yor Healer). He is a God of Action and promises we can hold on to as he guides us thru our valleys. Just want you to know that I and others are praying and believing in total healing for you.

Thank you to all who have commented and sent prayers my way. I am feeling much better and am looking forward to spending some quality time with family this weekend. Remission is one day closer each day, I just wish the chemo sessions were shorter! Bob, enjoy the retirement, are you already in AZ? My family sends peace and love to everyone on Christmas! Greg
