Yvonne's Big Climb team is up to 43 members and fund raising for the March 21 event is progressing nicely. You can still join the team and we will still buy you a nice team shirt. Here is the link: http://www.llswa.org/site/TR/Events/BigClimb?team_id=25870&pg=team&fr_id=1110
I start chemo session 7 of 8 this Monday or Tuesday, I can see the light in the end of the chemo tunnel!
Sergio Mendes and Brasil '66 covered the Beatles quite a bit. This cut of "The Fool on the Hill" is a nice late 60's look at their music. Paul was the force behind Fool, it was released on the Magical Mystery Tour album- and written during the travels to India period. Sergio Mendes also covered famously the Hal David/Burt Bacharach standard- The Look of Love. I hope you enjoy the jazzy treatment given by Sergio and company.
Welcome to my Blog
I chose the title of this blog to go with a Beatles song from 1969. The title made sense in October of 2009 because fighting cancer might be a drawn out challenge. I take inspiration where I can, and hope to motivate with my musings about music, my status and anything else related to life. Anyone can post comments; no sign in or account is needed, just click on the comments section towards the bottom of the post and write me a note. A splendid time is guaranteed for all. Live Happy- Greg

Congrats on the climb team! I looked up Sergio, they were signed to a record deal by Herb Albert, one of Dad's old favs. I like the way they sang "the look of love" can't help but want to sway with that one. Some great sounds came out of the 60's. Glad you are near the end of your chemo. See you soon,
Love, Cathy
Greg, we used a lot of Sergio in our dance classes. Good Samba music. See you soon, probably Wed. Love , Dad and Alice
