The Fab Faux - Abbey Road Side 2 (mostly) from The Fab Faux on Vimeo.
Hey all! My title today is part play on the Abbey Road album and personal/blog update. I placed the video on top today as it is clearly one of the best live versions of most of The Beatles Abbey Road album (side 2) ever played. Thanks to Malcolm, I saw this video a couple of days ago and didn't know it was out there. The group is the Fab Faux, a group of guys with impeccable skills who have been playing Beatles music for a bit while championing their own individual operations like leading the Conan house band and participating in the Letterman house band. Here is their cool website: thefabfaux.com The video is really worth a watch and especially listen, as these guys come closer than anyone else matching the musical sound of the Beatles.
Yvonne and I spent most of the day at the hospital today where I had lab and C.T. tests and a Dr. visit. I discovered the earlier round of chemo did at least some good and my tumors decreased in size by 33%. My blood looked on the rebound as well, and we received a plan for the next month anyway. My oncologist confirmed that the new chemo worked in part, I will do it again next week probably on the 26th for another 5 day (3 infusions) go. This will put me on the 21-day repeat protocol. While most cancer patients don't want to have chemo therapy, I do as it is my best chance to get to full remission and other options. I will be off work for awhile but have the fighting chance we were hoping for. Thanks again for keeping me positive and all of the thoughts and prayers.
PS: The Fab Faux performs in and around the New York City area a lot, rarely leaving the Northeast. I am hoping to take a trip to see them play, maybe in my Dad's hometown of Northampton, MA at the end of April. If we get a confirmation on seeing the Fab Faux in combination with a trip I will of course love company... more later-
Much Love, Greg

Sounds good, Greg. Full steam ahead, Steve was on a 26-28? day protocol, it's good to have a plan. I know you have a great healing weapon with that Chocolate Lab, we also have one! His name is Cooper, and he deserves a Nobel Peace Prize, or at least some pizza crusts for taking away some stress and giving unconditional love. :) Hugs from chilly Chi City!
more prayers :)
Sunni sends her best also :)
Greg, Great sound. Love DAd
Sounds great Greg. Wish I could come visit but my protocol is beginning to kick my rear. Only have three and a half more weeks. Time needs to fly by. Miss the homestead. Take care and bring cookies to the nurses. T-Rex
The 33% reduction is awesome news. Keep kicking those ugly cancer cells. Sending strength your way for your next round next week.
Hi Greg, Stay the course and keep fighting!! Thank you for sharing the music video, they sound really good! :-)
Greg,
My daughter Megan found your blog on her own a couple of days ago and we prayed for you afterward. Just prayed for you again during this early morning hour brother, and will keep doing so. May God grant you strength and courage as you continue this battle. May Christ's love rain down-
Your Friend,
Bob
Great news Greg. you are a fighter and scrapper and you will win this battle too. Take good care. Bob Meyer
Thanks for the comments and prayers everyone! Sue it might cold in Chicago but I would trade you in a minute if you get a chance to see the sun once in awhile.
I feel much better today and can't wait for the next round of chemo to get me closer to remission. Our Lab Sadie is a godsend. :) Greg
Gregory,
Progress is good...keep moving forward, one step at a time. Someday you'll look back and appreciate the way you battled. T.Pro
Love the new layout! Our thought and prayers are with you as you undergo more chemo. You mentioned that most people don't opt for the chemo, if that's the best that's available then go for it. Keep up the positive attitude it helps a lot
Love, Cathy
Greg-great news! So glad to hear tumors are reducing. Glad to hear the doc has a plan. You're a great athlete and that will help in competing against this. You are winning--keep up the race. We are seeing some sun here today before another snow storm moves through. Sending rays your way along with love and prayers.

Hey buddy,
This is good news. You are a constant in our prayers. I am back in Virginia for a couple weeks, but I will be checking every day to kelp up on your continued progress. Take care and we'll try to keep it together until you're back.

I may even keep up, but if I'm at the beach I will also kelp up.
Greg,

Scott(s) and other friends, after a tough weekend I am re-energizing and ready for the week. I will be posting a Big Climb message later
today, Yvonne's team will be climbing March 20- please mark your calendars. I have a bone marrow test tomorrow and then chemo on Wednesday. Love, Greg
Keeping you in my prayers, Greg. May God continue to bless you with strength and His love.
Good for you! You should be here in the sunshine and warmth in between sessions! Assuming this kind of progress continues, you'll be ready for Hawaiian R&R by summer! Sending you hugs and much ALOHA, Pineapple Princess (Valerie)
