Interested in doing the Big Climb with Team "I Got A Fever?" I have two secrets for you this AM. One is a song, another a tip. I chose to get back in the water this morning, walked in the shallow end for about 45 minutes and it felt similar to climbing stairs. The intensity and effort is totally up to the individual, I got a sweat going, (due in part because but I had to try to show off to the people I used to swim with including Yvonne!)
I found this from a fitness magazine: 1. Another way to pump up a workout is to walk in the shallow end of a pool. The water’s buoyancy will support your weight; reduce stress on your bones, muscles and joints; and provide resistance as you move. Here are some other water based ideas including photos: http://www.mc.edu/aquatics/exercises.html
John Lennon and the Beatles wrote Do You Want To Know A Secret in 1963, sold it to Billy J Kramer (with the Dakotas) who released it in England charting all the way to #2, and #1 in an often used European chart. The Beatles version came out in 1964 going to #1 as well. Happy Monday- back to work for me.
1963 was so long ago...

I almost forgot to say I am 75% done with chemo, session 6 went well. Thanks for the visits and food! :) Greg
Good job! You are doing so well!
Love, Cathy
Hi Greg, We are all very happy to hear that you are doing good!! You are so strong in your mental state that your body simply just have to follow!!! Can't wait to climb the stairs with you!!! Just know that even if you are not standing on the stairs, we still look up to you! :-) Take care!
Hi Greg.. what great news.. almost done and such a positive attitude. We are having a great winter so far. Skiing only 30 miles from the house, dog sled raes with two teams staying at the place (about 24 dogs for the weekend.. was a GREAT TIME)
Not much snow in the low lands so fire season will be nasty this summer. We are already ramping up fire coordination in hopes of stopping it before it gets going.
Our new mule is doing well..my husband has taken the lead on getting her used to human contact. She now sprints into the barn at night so she is first to the hay feeder.
Great to hear you continue to do well.
Thanks for the comments Cathy, Alice and Linda. Hey- where are the men? The insight and well wishes are very helpful to me. Our Big Climb team just reached 29 members and continues to grow. Alice- the energy drink is helping. Linda- what is snow? We are in an eternal spring like state on the west side. Cathy- I fell asleep watching Lost last night! (I will catch up.) I'm off to work, today's post is a big climb thing, back to music and maybe some pop culture tomorrow. :) Greg
I'm always up for pop culture. Been down the rabbit hole at work and haven't been checking in here. So great to hear you are feeling so good and doing some amazing workouts! Hope you had a happy Monday and thanks for helping us appreciate Mondays and going to work. Sometimes we don't feel that way. Now it's Thurs. and we're getting snow again.
Keep up the great work. Can't believe you are almost through these chemo treatments. YAY!
