Welcome to my Blog

I chose the title of this blog to go with a Beatles song from 1969. The title made sense in October of 2009 because fighting cancer might be a drawn out challenge. I take inspiration where I can, and hope to motivate with my musings about music, my status and anything else related to life. Anyone can post comments; no sign in or account is needed, just click on the comments section towards the bottom of the post and write me a note. A splendid time is guaranteed for all. Live Happy- Greg

"All You Need is Love"

For those outside of the Seattle area, suspects in the Officer Brenton murder have been arrested and one was shot (in critical condition) just after the end of the memorial yesterday. It looks like the family will see some justice and in a very timely fashion.

In 1967, the Beatles were looking for projects and singles and John came up with "AYNIL." John wanted to help change the world through his art and this is probably the first easily understood example of that. The message is simple, Love. How one gets to love more, or grow, or treat others better is laid out in the refrain quite often. My favorite lyric is this:
"There's nothing you can do that can't be done;
Nothing you can sing that can't be sung;
Nothing you can say but you can learn how to play the game; It's easy"

Congratulations to the Seattle Police Department and everyone who helped in ending the terror caused by a few people bent on the opposite of love. Greg

Hey Greg,
Just gettting back to the east side. Good to know things have hopefully been resolved in the shooting of Officer Brenton. I can only imagine how difficult it has been for his family and our officers!

It was great to see you on Thursday. So much to talk about so thanks for staying for so long! I have not been in a Starbucks for months :0)

I am heading out to dog sled in the AM.. short cruise for about 4 miles just up the road from our place. Snow level is getting lower each day and the mountains around our little ranch are beautiful!

I am picking up a new mule named Buck who will be heading to Bellevue from Goldendale for training. He will probably want to join us at our next Starbucks meeting since he will be an eastside mule. My husband wants to know why I am getting a mule named "Buck". Let's hope he does NOT live up to his name..

Look forward to talking with you soon.

I am doing good other than lots of cold sore like issues in the mouth. Good to hear from the weekend warriors. I am working part of today to help close the loop on part of the office r involved shooting stuff form Friday as our detectives are working that part of it. Linda- enjoy the snow vs. our rain, thanks for the visit. Dad and Cathy- you are always welcome.

Glad to hear the Seattle case has been resolved. We'll keep all those affected by violence in our prayers. The answer of love is so simple. It seems the human race never quite gets it. But one must remember the words of Winston Churchill: "Never, never, never, never give up."
We have no choice but to not give up.
Sunny but a chill in the air here again. Went for a run on the pine plateau yesterday afternoon. Stumbled and fell but kept on and saw a hawk and deer, elk, coyote and maybe bobcat prints in the mud.
The envelope for Alan regarding blood tests(?) arrived yesterday. He should arrive today (Sunday.)
Stay strong, happy and full of love. And watch who you're kissin' :-)

Greg, Here is the original love quote circa about 30 AD. John 13:34-35

"A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." Jesus Christ

I hope your strength is returning and the cold sores heal quickly. Love, Bruce

Nobody knows more about Love. How different the world would be if everyone followed Jesus's command. Hope the sores heal, too. Love, Cathy
