Welcome to my Blog

I chose the title of this blog to go with a Beatles song from 1969. The title made sense in October of 2009 because fighting cancer might be a drawn out challenge. I take inspiration where I can, and hope to motivate with my musings about music, my status and anything else related to life. Anyone can post comments; no sign in or account is needed, just click on the comments section towards the bottom of the post and write me a note. A splendid time is guaranteed for all. Live Happy- Greg

"Let It Be"

* I have been moved from 10B1 to 10C3. My new extension is 127-1033. Paul wrote Let It Be in 1969 whe the Beatles were working on a film, at first the title was to be "Get Back." After a lot of ups and downs the Beatles abandoned most of the project and renamed the project "Let it Be." Paul lost his mother Mary to cancer when he was just 14, and the references to Mary are directly tied to that memory. I lost my mother fairly early too- and find that the I receive wisdom in many of the same ways that Paul wrote about.

"When I find myself in times of trouble
Mother Mary comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be.
And in my hour of darkness
She is standing right in front of me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be.
Let it be, let it be."

I am still in the hospital trying to raise some blood levels and beat some infections including strep and staff. I will learn about wearing a mask in public!

I didn't know about Paul losing his mother like that. You know it's through those trails that we either become stronger or give up. I prefer the first option. I'm so sorry the you got those infections. But I'm glad that the mass is 100% gone. Your body can't fight infection right now, so yes wear the mask and be careful. Hope you are well enough to go home soon.

You were strong to begin with and now, your spirit is even stronger!! I pray for you to get over this infection swiftly! Sleep, your body produces red blood cell when you sleep, at least that's what my parents told me when I was a child. Hope you will feel better soon! Peace and Love

Let It Be has been one of the Beatles songs that I always turn to when I need some soothing of my soul.

I agree with your mask idea. In fact, I might recommend applying duct tape to it.

Greg - You can count on being tackled at the RJC, if you show up without a mask. Please...wear it! Get better fast.
