Since I am on such a see-saw hospital stay this time I will try to give you an up to the minute update knowing that it will clearly change in the next hour! I slept pretty good last night with an average temp of 101.8 to 102.5. Woke up, got outta bed and dragged a washcloth across my head. I proceeded to sweat away most of the fever over the morning hours until finaly at about 1030- my temp was 98.6 (Almost normal for me.) I waited a bit for good measure to report on the news... Sure enough at about 1:00 PM the fever came back to the 101 area. So here I go again I think.
I will try to post further updates as the day goes on... Don't feel sorry for me-Live Happy!
Welcome to my Blog
I chose the title of this blog to go with a Beatles song from 1969. The title made sense in October of 2009 because fighting cancer might be a drawn out challenge. I take inspiration where I can, and hope to motivate with my musings about music, my status and anything else related to life. Anyone can post comments; no sign in or account is needed, just click on the comments section towards the bottom of the post and write me a note. A splendid time is guaranteed for all. Live Happy- Greg

I pray that that fever will leave your body. I'm not calling you so you can rest. But you are always in my thoughts and prayers. Are you on anitbiotics? Most likely yes.
Love, Cathy
Greg , We understand that the process is up and down, and slowley gets better. Hang in there, are prayers are with you We love you.

We are thinking of you always, too. Hoping the fever breaks and you'll be feeling better and free of infection. I think Alan gets the blood sample taken tomorrow. You are strong and will beat it back. Remember the first 4 words of Beatle is BEAT! :-)
It's been a long day and now I wonder if I am even spelling that correctly?!
Take it easy and get better.
Love, Mary and Alan
I paused the movie "Across the Universe" to check your blog. Sounds like you are fighting the fever on an hour to hour basis. It will eventually go away and you will be better just like you did with the cancer. I hope you are eating because your body is like a new born baby now, it is a little weak after the treatment. The food may not taste like anything and may even feel like you do not need to eat anything...but you need food to get stronger. Perhaps try soup cooked with chicken or pork bone with carots and potatoes and cabbage in it. (Protein, minerals and fiber!) Just drink the soup if you don't feel like eating any vegetables. Cut out mike or beef, it is hard for your body to digest. Try not to drink anything with sugar in it. It will heat up your body. Hope you will feel better soon. :-)
Really enjoy the movie you recommended. Thank you! It is full of energy, passion and colors! The Beatles songs made the movie more interesting!! I do know some of the songs but not all of them. It is in this movie that I heard "I am the Walrus" for the first time.
My thoughts will be with you while your body continue to gain the strength to fight this bug!! Peace and Love
Hey Greg.. You are a cool dude so I am certain the "cool" will win out.. it just takes some time. Thanks for the "live happy" thoughts and it will be so.
Buck the mule gets in to Bellevue tomorrow.. poor guy.. going from a nice ranch in Goldendale to a rainy stall in Bellevue.
Hope your roller coaster temperature settles down soon and you get to go home.
I am thinking of you..
Thanks for the help, diet suugestions, prayers, and well wishes. I have Andrew and Yvonne here with me now and we did some walking around the floor to get the party going. Tommorrow's post will probably be a song titled "Getting Better" My fever has come back but has not gone above 101 and is now on it's way down again. I ate some broth, fruit, and yogurt for dinner and a bit of cheesecake for desert. I might even have some more pudding or jello a little later. Talk later- Greg
Hey 5-0,
I dropped a big hint when I told you my favorite Beattle's song. So, I'll be waiting to read about the history, story, and meaning behind that song! ;-)
Sounds like we will be missing you tomorrow. Hang in there buddy and know we are all thinking about you.
